Vice President and Director of Operations
Pete Mahoney joined The Rubinoff Company in November 2007 to oversee all activities related to the management of over 2 million square feet which includes office, industrial, flex space, medical office, retail, mixed-use and more than 1500 residential units in The Rubinoff Company’s portfolio.
Pete joined The Rubinoff Company with more than 17 years of real estate management experience that includes operations, financial management, construction management, development, leasing and marketing. He has extensive professional relationships with building owners, municipal authorities, financial institutions and general contractors. Pete oversees budgets totaling over $22,000,000 with asset values of over $100,000,000. He is responsible for forecasting long term profitability for all owned and managed properties.
Past projects include working with asset management firms as property manager for several Class A office buildings in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. He has assisted a project management team in the completion of a $125,000,000 Class A office building. He has also managed tenant build-outs in excess of $25 million. Pete previously implemented energy management savings of 20% for an entire portfolio and reduced operating costs by 15% over a ten year period. In addition to substantial experience with “green building” products, he is familiar with LEED certification and has relevant regulatory compliance experience with OSHA, ADA, NFPA, and city building code requirements.
Pete holds a Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and earned a National Association of REALTORS (NAR) Green Designation. He is working towards his Pennsylvania broker’s license. Pete graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
